Center for Encyclopedic and Albanological Publications Academy of Sciences of Albania

The Centre for Encyclopedic and Albanological Publications is a permanent research-scientific unit affiliated with the Academy of Sciences of Albania. Re-established in 2021 by the decision of the Assembly of the Academy, the Centre has the duty to follow and coordinate work on major projects in albanology. 
In this framework, the Centre is currently supporting the drafting of a major work concerning the History of the Albanians, in four volumes, the publication of which is expected to begin very soon. 

Also, there is another major work, “The Great Dictionary of the Albanian Language”, with more than 120,000 entries. The work on it has been completed and the online version is expected to come out for the public early next year.

Meanwhile, another very important project is also the Albanian Encyclopedia, a joint undertaking of the Government of Albania and the Government of Kosovo, which is being implemented by the two respective Academies of Sciences. The Albanian Encyclopedia is being realized for the first time and aims to include the full spiritual heritage and wealth of the Albanian people.
